Lemon or coffee – what makes us acidic?

Lemon water versus coffee.

Many people associate lemon with acidity. Although lemons have an acidic taste they actually have a very strong alkaline reaction on the body and help alkalize blood, organs, cells and tissue.

We tend to rely on coffee in the morning as an energy booster. We use it to mask our daily symptoms like fatigue, focus and concentration issues, brain fog, energy issues, forgetfulness, overall not feeling well, grogginess, or any physical discomfort. What caffeine actually does is ramp up the production of adrenaline in the adrenal glands to the point where it causes adrenal burnout what leads to liver weakness. These resulting in hair loos and hair thinning, nutrient deficiencies, accelerated aging, weight gain, and many more. Excess production of adrenaline is highly toxic for our bodies. Caffeine depletes out body from nutrients.

Caffeine found in coffee, matcha tea, chocolate or caffeinated drinks makes the body age rapidly because it adds to long-term, chronic dehydration.
Do you notice a need to use a bathroom after drinking coffee, match tea, caffeinated teas or chocolate?
It happens because these caffeine drinks are diuretic that force critically needed hydration out of the living cells in your body, starving the cells of what they need.

Caffeine is a toxin, a low-grade poison, that prompts your body to want to rid it. As your body is trying to get rid of the toxin it throws the baby out with the bathwater – it throws the toxin out along with important nutrients, trace minerals, phytochemical compounds, critically needed enzymes, and antioxidants.

If you get used to drinking coffee in the morning the caffeine withdrawal could be difficult.
One of the suggestion is to replace the morning coffee with the glas of lemon water on an empty stomach.

Lemon water drunk on an empty stomach in the morning and throughout the day will bring only benefits:

  • creates alkalinity in the body
  • hydrates the organs and cells
  • produces electrolytes
  • contains bioactive calcium
  • contains highly absorbable vitamin C
  • expels mucus
  • cleanses liver, kidneys, spleen, thyroid & gallbladder
  • brings you vitality
  • flashes out toxins after exposure to plastics, synthetic chemicals, radiation, and poor food choices

Crimini Mushroom Knedle

Potato dumplings Crunchy & Juicy. Free from: gluten, eggs, fat, gmo.

Knedle are potato-dough dumplings typical to Polish kitchen. Potatoes have their significant presence in Polish menu. Although knedle traditionally are stuffed with plum, boiled, served over the warm summer with a cinnamon and sour cream, I made them ‘my way’ as they are gluten-free, eggs-free, and fat free, and non-gmo. They combine a note of sweet, mainly salty and pungent taste and satisfy a greater range of palates. My Crimini Mushrooms stuffed knedle are baked in the oven so they can be served as warm addition to the main dish or cold as a handy snack.

Their taste surpassed my wildest expectations and cheered my palate. They are excellent hot as a companion to vegetable broth. Heaven in mouth!Served cold, they are dream come true crunchy pastry snack. They fit in the hand like a proverbial glove. You just want to have them as long as possible and enjoy their taste but the hand reaches its mouth by itself, so they disappear quickly. They are exceptional. Their crunchy skin wraps a soft and juicy stuffing that is made of crimini mushrooms and red and white onions.

Potatoes are a real healing food. They nutritious compounds make them a staple ingredient of many on the healing path. Potatoes are abundant in amino acids that specifically inhibit viral growth. Potatoes contain an antioxidant called quercetin, which has anti-cancer and cardio-protective properties. They contain a good amount of B6, a vitamin which is essential for the formation of almost every new cell in the body. Vitamin B6 is a vital component for the neurological system and for the creation of amines which are neurotransmitters that send messages from one nerve to the next. Potatoes are reach in glucose that provides substance to the brain, heart and the liver, and to all the body’s muscles. Potatoes are unfortunately shunned for being a nightshade, when in truth they have the ability to reverse many varieties of chronic illness.

CRIMINI MUSHROOMS are a powerhouse of healing compounds, like anti-cancer  conjugated-linoleic acid (CLA). Their anti-inflammatory properties effectively regulate inflammation in the organs in the body. Crimini mushrooms support eye health, cognitive function, reproductive health, and lung health thanks to the antioxidant compound called L-ergothioneine. They help to strengthen the immune system and significantly lower the risk of cold, flu, sore throats, bronchitis, swollen glands, ear infection and chronic infections. They slow down or prevent the growth of tumors in the body. And on the feelings site they stabilize mood swings and create a balanced sleep pattern.

As she plucked and ate the berries she forgot her anger. Finding a basket among her belongings, she quickly filled it, and longed for her husband once more. THE LEGEND

Mango is the national fruit of India, Pakistan and Philippines. Hindu legend tells the story of a Sun Princess Manga who was incinerated by an evil sorceress. Because of Manga`s beauty and charm every one who looked at her got reconnected to the own beauty. The feelings of connection were sparkling like flames of pure joy. A jealous bad fairy decided to ignite all the flames. There was a big fire that burned down Manga and all connected to her. From the ashes of the Sun Princess grew a mango tree. The Emperor immediately fell in love with the mango flower and subsequently its fruit and when ripe mangoes fell to the ground, the beautiful Sun Princess emerged once again. She spread her beauty and charm to the Emperor. He changed for ever. His goodness and kindness was well known. He has never married officially cause he stayed loyal to the Sun Princess. They met every morning and were together till sunset. He dreamt about her every night. When at one sunset she took him with her to the dream world she appeared one last time and sent love and joy to those who needed that the most by giving them the mango fruit.
From then on, the mango has become a symbol of love and a basket of mangoes is considered a gesture of friendship in India.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”1041″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_shadow_3d” onclick=”zoom”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Aubergine – Eggplant – the Purple Purpose

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Eggplant is a fruit. It took its name centuries ago when it really looked like an egg.

imgres-1

Eggplants were first cultivated in India approximately 2500 years ago, where they were widely used in a variety of dishes, both cooked and raw. In much of Europe, the eggplant is called an aubergine. A few centuries ago northern European people had some rather superstitious ideas about it, including the perception that it could produce insanity — a myth that led to it also being called the “Mad Apple”. The mystical properties of eggplant comes with the night purple color and the fact that the fruit grows at night. It is a nightshade plant. As its dark purple color embodies the balance of red’s stimulation and blue’s calm. As Purple combines the calm stability of blue and the fierce energy of red it is often associated with royalty, nobility, luxury, power, and ambition. Purple also represents meanings of wealth, extravagance, creativity, wisdom, dignity, grandeur, devotion, peace, pride, mystery, independence, and magic.[/vc_column_text][vc_text_separator title=”Purple Purpose” title_align=”separator_align_center” color=”grey”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″ el_class=”Purple Purpose”][vc_column_text]imgresThe color purple is a rare occurring color in nature and as a result is often seen as having sacred meaning. Purple in eggplant has a variety of effects on the mind and body, including uplifting spirits, calming the mind and nerves, enhancing the sacred, creating feelings of spirituality, increasing nurturing tendencies and sensitivity, and encouraging imagination and creativity. Any food you eat you either uplift your own energy or you lower it. Eggplant is the food to add to the high vibrations. Covered by royal vibrated purple the inner soft and whitish inner is like your own inner body.  It absorbs whatever you feed it with.

I met Klara one day at the organic store shelves. Her gentle smile and bright eyes inspired me to write about eggplant since she have asked how to prepare them. I have shared with her my ostrich mushrooms recipe secret. I will do that in the ostrich mushrooms post. This recipe takes you somewhere else and above with the cockpit of your taste palette oriented to fly, to take off. I know what I am talking about!!

Since eggplant loves to soak any and a lot of oil. It baths in the oil and never has enough while being fried. I cook it in the fat safe zone.

Here we go: I washed the fruit even I buy organic I either cut the skin off or pour the boiling water on it to kill the bacteria. I cut the round slices of about 1 cm = less than half of an inch. I make my frying pan hot and lower the hit and place there my round slices. I roast them for a few minutes and flip them over. Let the juice come out. Be carful not to burn them. Keep your frying pan at the decent temperature. Lower it from that of very hot. You want to keep the nutritions not kill all the benefits that are in the fruit.

Sprinkle the circles with a few drops of virgin olive oil and an himalayan salt. You can have a tomato souse made on a side to cover them with at the serving time. About the tomato souse: the tomatoes need to be skinless and simmer with a little of water, salt and paper, and splash of olive. Cook them for about 20 minutes on a very low temperature. My beloved GrandMa taught me how to do it perfectly. If you were born before the second war, like my grandMa Alicia, you would know what i am talking about. She was a noble lady with the knowledge of secrets and simplicity of life. I Love you Alicia and wonder where are you now.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
